Old thrifted clock turned Art

~Before: Truth be told, I did not share B's vision for this hideous clock.
~After! B and I worked together on making this clock the masterpiece that it is! He came up with the idea and we made it happen. B painted the outside frame with spray paint using an antiquing technique to bring out the roses on the leather.
~B found an old spanish bible and decoupaged the book of Revelations onto the face. We then added dye cut roman numerals and custom sugar skull minis(by me:) for the numbers to give it a playful look.

~*Notice the Egyptian motif....Believe it or not, this clock is huge!
~The large Sugar Skull in the middle was a joint effort with B drawing the main skull design and me adding flare and color to bring it to life. The minute and hour hands were original to he clock so all I had to do was jazz  them a bit with silver sharpie and a jewel in the center.
~Overall the clock turned out awesome! Usually I have the vision and B helps me make it happen, but this time the tables were turned. I am glad that we took on this project!

Tiny room turned crafty haven

~This is the before pics of the extra bedroom in our basement....dark and dreary. The window does not have a legal egress, so it cannot be used as a bedroom. The future plans for this area are to make it a master bath as it is right beside what we are using as the Master bedroom currently. On the other side of the closet wall is the laundry room so plumbing should be relatively easy.

~ We decided to use this room as a craft and sewing room in the interim. To brighten up the room, we changed out the light fixture, tore out the carpet and repainted. We have yet to do any type of flooring.
~This small room was appeared smaller because of the dark color, small basement window and blah carpet.

~We actually got pretty excited when we found this flooring under the nasty carpet, but unfortunately it was only in less than a third of the room and of that, most had spray paint on it and was carved up. Bummer!

~We painted the walls a bright and cheery yellow to liven the space up a bit. It is amazing what paint can do! Now the space has an area for sewing, crafting, hanging out.

****I have some additional photos of the "after" that I will post later.******
